For what used to be a food blog is now just an ordinary rambling. Stay fed, friends.
WEEKEND PT. 5
Visiting some friendly faces down in Orange County.
Not pictured: Had lunch with Rachel at an old people’s cafe. I’m pretty sure they were Republican too. My bacon and avocado scramble was good but our catch-up session was even better. She isn’t too bummed that I won’t be working the golf tournament this December since I promised her I’d make it to Bogies. Afterward I met up with Amy and Mike for my second catch-up session of the day. I’m still not happy that I can’t see them as often as I did a year ago but it’s always fun when we do get to hang out. And this time I wasn’t drunk or sticky! (Blame Street Fair)
Pictured left: Look at how big my avocado tree has grown! It was just a couple years ago when Carl and Ryan planted my Craigslist purchase in the Purple House side yard. Although I pretty much neglected it, Sasha, Molly and Justin have done a good job keeping it alive. They also grew a neighboring herb garden to keep it company.
Pictured right: Tent Talk with Molly and Nathalie: Ducks Game! We got to watch some good ol’ hockey with the free tickets I got from RPA. We were seated pretty high but we still had a good view of the rink (well done Honda Center). Neither of us were familiar with the Ducks or the opposing team but we got into the game with a little help from our okay friend Miller Lite. We yelled “sports!” when someone got close to shooting and even stood up when the Ducks scored. By the third period we lost a bit of focus because we found out that RA Sushi had late night happy hour and we couldn’t wait for dinner.
