For what used to be a food blog is now just an ordinary rambling. Stay fed, friends.
These postings have been going up all around Brooklyn lately to advertise for Oak.
After seeing Jordan’s graduation ceremony, I couldn’t help thinking two things:
1) I have a strange feeling of nostalgia toward high school. Is it weird that I miss the beloved and dysfunctional class of 2007? Is it weird that I miss horrible clichés and words of wisdom, pseudo douchebags (those that strive to be jerks but they really have something kind somewhere inside them), teachers that like you, teachers that hate you, administration that, well, didn’t see you eye-to-eye, dressing up in heels to make a statement, balloons…
2) I absolutely love college. I finally feel like I met and found people. It’s strange because the things I mentioned above are also relevant in college, but it’s completely different. At Chapman, there are REAL douchebags (in fact, we even made an ink stamp to brand them). There are just crazy teachers, who I can bump heads with but won’t write me off, except that one Riverside teacher on a power-trip. People dress up in heels because they dress that way. And as much as we hate them, we’re just jealous because the majority of them look amazingly beautiful. We have damn good balloon arches.
So I guess life is good.
